Pictures are worth a million words. Sometimes you just need to see it instead of reading about it. I could sit here and describe how wonderful each and every place in Bavaria is, but why waste the time when pictures can tell you more than I ever could!?
Nothing beats a beautiful, simple parish church against the backdrop of the jaw-dropping Bavarian Alps.
Everyone needs to visit a fairy-tale castle at least once in their life to truly feel royal!
No other country in the world knows how to throw a better party than a beer festival in Bavaria!
There’s a reason why the Bavaria flag colors are white and blue and not blue and white.
A drive along the Romantic Road takes you to all the most amazing towns from Würzburg to Füssen.
Because the fashion is pretty damn awesome! Who wouldn’t want to wear a pair of Lederhosen or a pretty Dirndl!
Admiring the Altes Rathaus in Munich is a favorite past time of many tourists, locals and shoppers!
Because the towns just keep getting more and more beautiful!
The food is just.so.MOUTHWATERING!!!

The summers are as perfect as perfect can be!
Every season in Bavaria is amazing, but none more so than Autumn!
Have I mentioned that the beer is amazing!?? And cheap!

Have I also mentioned how amazingly, adorable Bavarian villages are?!

The panoramic views never seem to disappoint, no matter where you are!
The Christmas Markets are truly magical!
Because the artist Friedrich Hundertwasser liked it so much, he designed a tower at a brewery with a biergarten!

Ohh Bavaria really is so stunning! And the food is just the best! We’ve only been in Munich like 36 hours last year but all the food we ate in that time – oh my god!!! 😉
September 28, 2016 at 2:41 pm
Oh that definitely was not enough time! Hope you can come back!
September 28, 2016 at 5:12 pm

Oh my goodness! We seriously fell so much in love with Germany and Bavaria while we were in Europe! The people were so amazing, and I was blown away by how beautiful everything was! I want to go back as soon as possible!

Well, I was convinced to visit Bavaria because of your other posts but these photos sweeten the deal. I went to Munich long time ago and really enjoyed the city. We stopped on the airport when we were coming back from Budapest and it was heartbreaking not being able to go out.
September 29, 2016 at 6:25 am
Awesome! Hope you can make it out here again soon and stay longer! There are so many beautiful things to see!
September 29, 2016 at 6:46 am
In our recent trip to Munich, the GPS got us lost around some towns near by. They were so pretty! Every house full of growing hops, it was amazing!

That’s the best way to discover something new!

These are some seriously beautiful photos! I love traditional Bavarian outfits and architecture! Maybe it’s my German heritage, but something about it just feels so homey and right! 😀
September 29, 2016 at 3:46 pm
Thank you! Well then you need to get over here!

All the photos are beautiful but I particularly love the one at Lake Königssee.
September 30, 2016 at 6:04 am
It is breathtaking isn’t it! I didn’t want to leave!!

I haven’t done Bavaria anywhere near as much justice as it deserves! I went to Oktoberfest in Munich and that was about it, but there is soooo much more! I’m officially jealous of your Neuschwanstein Castle photo – the bridge was closed when we visited so sadly we couldn’t capture this iconic shot! #weekendwanderlust
September 30, 2016 at 1:23 pm
It took me 3 visits to get that picture as the weather there is sooo tricky! Hope
You can visit again!
September 30, 2016 at 7:44 pm
So glad to see your images! Bavaria would be a short airplane ride for us! We may have to make a visit to see the beauty that you captured. Thanks for sharing!

Oh…<3 I absolutely love Bavaria! Been to Munich, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Regensburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein! It was close to Christmas, so in Rothenburg they had all these amazing christmas shops, markets and fairs! They are beautiful everywhere in Germany, but never have I felt myself in a real-life fairytale the way I did in Rothenburg.
I´m dreaming about road tripping around Bavaria for a week or so, to see all these little villages!

Gorgeous photos, though I don’t really need them to long for Bayern.

You are right, Lolo, your pictures DO make me want to come to Bavaria. I’d especially love to visit it in Fall again. The last time I was there it was in late September and just as I was prepared to enjoy the fall colors it started snowing out of the blue and winter settled in unexpectedly.
October 1, 2016 at 8:42 pm
That happens here! The weather changes so fast!
October 2, 2016 at 2:02 am
Your photos are absolutely spectacular. They all look like postcards! I’ve only been to Frankfurt and Berlin in Germany, and Bavaria is very much on the top of my German to-visit list. My favorite pic is the one of the lederhosen and dirndls. =)

What a beautiful area of Germany. We were only able to spend a couple of days touring including Ludwig’s castles. I love that you showed these other towns that surely ignited my wanderlust. My brother and his family moved to Germany last year so I will share this with them. We’ll be there next year and hoping to visit some of these places. Would really love to see Rothenburg ob der Tauber. That just looks like a fairytale town.
October 10, 2016 at 6:09 am
Oh how lovely! Hopefully when you come back you can definitely see more!
